Plastic moulding with children
Plastic moulding with children
Making out of plasticine with children means making contact with them during the game, developing fine motor skills and creativity. It's no secret that kids love molding, because you can play role-playing games with made figures. A parent can show you how a piece of art is made and also give you an idea of how to play a scene with it.

Personal reflections on the molding of Soviet plasticine
I'll be honest when I was a kid, nobody molded with me. And even when I had to make a figure in my work class, I didn't even know which way to approach it. After thinking about this topic, as it seems to me, I found the answer.
In fact, when I was a child of plasticine was our domestic, which was a stake and of course did not succumb to the small handles of the years up to 4-5. And when the age was right, most of the kids, including me, were running around in the yards playing fun, and our moms were working, pulling the whole farm on themselves.
As well as the stereotype “Don't ruin your childhood, they'll have time to get laid in school” was a strong pressure on our parents. Why am I doing this? It was so nice to mold into four hands with my son, knowing that he was doing things in his two years, which I was just starting to do now. It was a small digression, and now about our work .
Prints made of plasticine for babies
As I've already written, small pens can't stretch real plasticine, salty dough, hardening mass for modeling or Play Doh is good for them.
I bought Vera Groff's Underwater World and was pleasantly surprised at how everything is described. And though the author advises to mould from hardening mass, we used Play Play Do.

The first one we had was a starfish. Alexander himself, at my request, read the instructions under each number and we started to follow them (yes, my baby came out for reading in 1.5 years). It will be said “we” loudly, because I tried to give the child the main role in the work.
I showed how to warm up the plasticine – Alexander kneaded it by warming it up. We need to make five rays – Alexander ripped off pieces of plasticine and on my advice, first rolled out the ball, then sausage. I mean, I was directing him, and he was doing it. In the assembly of the figure I had to take on more, but in the performance of the details of my two-year-old boy coped.
All our work shows my father, and that the starfish lived to his return home, I put it on a sheet of paper. The next day Alexander asked for plasticine again, I got a book with the words: “Well, let's see who we're going to mold today. And again, the figurine lay on paper waiting for our daddy.
How to store plasticine handicrafts
This is where I thought about the dust sitting on them and put them in a container for storing lettuce leaves. So gradually the container has turned into an aquarium .
You perfectly understand that volume figures from plasticine it will not be possible to keep within a long period of time.
Besides, if you do their hot summer or live in a hot, damp climate as we do, most likely handicrafts from soft weight will be covered by a grey patina (mold). But there will be plenty of room in the container for them and they won't be remembered.
They can be saved as long as the child is interested in playing with the figures, or as long as there is an opportunity to show them to their beloved relatives.
We have decided to do a great deal of creative work by playing with the sea creatures that fill our artificial aquarium.
Prints made of plasticine – creative work
For the child to have a good visual perception of the upcoming work, I picked up a video of the seascapes. Alexander watched it carefully, commented on it, asked if he saw something new. The music in the video is relaxing, so it's been a background throughout the whole creative process.
Base for this work of the ball is prepared while the child was sleeping. I did it on the same principle as for Christmas tree. Alexander needed to paint it in the color of the sea.
We mixed the paints, for the baby two years, it's also a very entertaining process. And my boy started the case
While the painted base was drying, we looked at the Encyclopedia of the diapers “Animals of the whole planet” from the company Smart, namely, who lives under water. And let's go on with our creative work. The bottom should be made of stones, shells and sand.
As it should be in the application, we first distributed everything so that it was beautiful. Then I put hot silicone on the pebbles, put them on the same place from where I took them, and Alexander pressed with his palm to better stick .
>Then the child put PVA glue on the bottom to stick the sand. Alexander did not quite understand at once and started to put glue above, but after a question on where the bottom above or below, all at once was corrected .
The most interesting was pouring of a manka. It was obvious that the child was waiting for his mother to stop him now, and I was just cheering him up, saying the rash, more rash
And only when the mountains grew up at the bottom of the sea … Mom took the masterpiece and we went to the terrace, where the whole excess was scattered by turning the picture upside down. You should have seen the face of the wizard .
When the glue dried up (10 minutes), we started the final part. All the figures were distributed over the free area and I turned each of them upside down, and Alexander carefully applied glue to the back. After that they took their honorary place
In the end, I laid out a green cord on hot silicone seaweed and our “Sea Paradise” is ready. We took this work to the kindergarten, so that Alexander's friends also got acquainted with colorful sea characters.
Work turned out to be large and voluminous.
As you probably noticed, I give the child the opportunity to do the most of it. Of course, I'm looking at its possibilities based on age, but I'm not afraid of the idea of such a creative work for a child of two years old. I tried to show that even such a kid is able to participate in the process and of course at the end he will be firmly convinced that he did everything himself .
Multiplateen cartoons for children
For younger and middle-aged preschoolers to understand the possibilities of plasticine, it is desirable to show them a few cartoons, where all the characters are molded from this beautiful material.
Songs of Smeshariki – We'll take it from here
Bunny is recognized as a rabbit in his feelings. A charming production in verse form.

Very often parents are wary of such a material for creativity as plasticine. At first adults explain their negative attitude towards plastic material by the young age of their children and their gastronomic interest in everything around them, especially the colored and soft ones, and after that they refer to other interests, claiming that such amusements are for kids.
If you agree with this opinion, then you must have fallen victim to the older generation and were not taught to love plasticine. Let yourself escape from the routine of everyday life for a few minutes and learn the magic and magic of plasticine moulding with your own child.
Children's Plasticine Cap: Positive Rainbow Rainbow
Abelieve me, you can give a little man a whole kaleidoscope of positive emotions that can't be replaced by an appliqué or a pencil. Unfortunately, moms and dads forget that the joys of creativity and safety of the baby depend on their ability to teach, explain and interest.
Plasticine is a truly unique material. Remember how you want to stretch and smear something, and the food comes to your rescue. Your prohibitions and indignations about this are absolutely clear. Try offering him plasticine. Of course, after having had a conversation with him and fed him tightly. There is no limit to delight.
Plasticine develops perseverance. Follow the hands of the watch while the young sculptor creates from soft colored bars.
Active work of the joints and muscles of the hands increases blood circulation, replacing the professional massage and stimulating the development of fine motor skills. Brain activity is activated, coordination and speech are developed.
Imagination and fantasy are connected, there is a form of perception, attention to details and the most important thing – independence.
Select the right plasticine for children's crafts
Modern manufacturers offer a huge range of plasticine from the usual hardwood to small balls in the adhesive mass. It is impossible to answer clearly which material to choose. Everything depends on the age of the creator and the purpose of the purchase.
Good plasticine for modeling with children is characterized by elasticity and pliability. It is easy to roll by hand and on any surface. A plasticine product should not fall apart into its components.
The material should not crumble even after hardening and should not quickly restore its original properties. Under the influence of heat, the mass melts, leaving grease spots that are easily washed away with soap and water.
The composition of conventional plasticine includes clay powder, dye and substances that prevent the mass from drying out (fat, wax, ceresin, etc.)
Pay attention to the manufacturer, domestic sets for creativity is much cheaper than imported counterparts, not different characteristics. However, imported plasticine has more saturated and varied shades, and sometimes pleasant aromas.
Plasticine should not contain synthetic and harmful additives, crumble, dry, and leave hard-to-wash spots on your hands.
Material properties and age of the child play a significant role. For example, the baby doesn't need sculptural or hardening plasticine, he can't cope with it, but a bright, odorless material that doesn't stick to the floor and hands will be appreciated.
For drawing with plasticine he should prefer softer samples. The hardening and sculptural material will be suitable for older children and will allow not only to show imagination and skill, but also to keep the creation. Luminescent, shiny and color changing material will surely conquer any sculptor and push him to new achievements.
Plasticine for the toddlers
Already in a year and a half, you can offer a magic substance called plasticine (before that, it is better to use salty dough for modeling with a child). But the main thing is to teach him to work with him at a certain place at the table from the very beginning. Mom doesn't want to collect crushed pieces all over the house.
Start with the color. Which one would he like better. Let me crush it, roll it out. Sausages, balls, cakes can later turn into a caterpillar, snail, pyramid, well, fungus.
A pair of peepholes and a smile will turn an ordinary plasticine ball into a character from a fairytale country. A few of these heroes – and you can teach the little one how to build a dialogue correctly and answer the questions.
Little ones like to leave prints on the plate with their fingers or some figures, caps, spoon, pencil.
It's like, we mold from plasticine with young children. Roll up a thick sausage and decorate it with seeds or rice and a funny hedgehog is ready to work, collecting colored mushrooms. Revitalize a dry branch, making leaves and flowers for it.
Study the geometry of the plasticine shapes, explain to the baby their properties. For example, the ball can roll, and the cube has sides, so it is stable, the cone has a prickly nose and a circle at the base – it looks like a Christmas tree.
When the child familiar with the figures, periodically ask him to show the cube or ball. The most important thing – the competent approach, and you will form a stable platform for a start in the difficult world of geometry.
Lepy animals of plasticine and tell the crumb that the bird has a beak, legs and feathers, and the tiger – the mouth, legs and claws.
Separately, it's worth talking about a ballpoint plate. This is a unique developing material.
In addition to its plastic properties, it is pleasant to the touch, small balls allow the child to feel the shape, it is light and does not stick to his hands at all. The hardening material will allow to keep the first handicrafts of the kid on memory.
Adult can make a skeleton of any sculpture from a foil or a paper, and the kid will put on his plasticine. Work through the small details together.
Kids at this age are soaking up information like sponges, and if at first glance you don't think the child is interested and doesn't remember anything, you're wrong. Everything he or she he or she hears is left in his or her subconscious and, if necessary, will apply it, even after a long time.
It will be difficult, but when making plasticine with children, try to keep one of the most important rules: let the young sculptor have complete freedom. Don't hurry to fix the ugly sculptures. Praise the creator, inspire and unobtrusively prompt.
Lepim of plasticine with children of preschool and primary school age
The most talented imaginaries and plasticine masters are revealed at the age of 3 to 7 years. It is at this time that the little one has the richest imagination, which is not yet limited to the school and adult life. They quickly turn all their impressions into plasticine sculptures.
While an adult is thinking about what can be made of plasticine, looking at the palette of plasticine bars, the young sculptor quickly creates something that is difficult for an adult to imagine. And the main thing here is to get the sculptor to talk. Let her tell you what she did.
This will help teach your child to express his or her thoughts, increase vocabulary, and make him or her feel a genuine interest in his or her work.
Ideas for making plasticine for children
It's like making plasticine with preschool children. Try to make his favorite cartoon characters by putting a picture in front of you and notice how the child will start to notice the little things he wouldn't have noticed before.
Absolutely everything: both girls and boys feel awe of the locks. Buy a larger solidifying plasticine, a larger solid tablet and build a palace with all the retinue, outbuildings, weapons, animals, a prince and a princess.
Of course, simulating the plasticine is a little more expensive than usual, and a large-scale project may not be cheap, but the game is worth the money spent. Don't buy large quantities of plasticine right away, just a couple of sets a month. The main thing is to set the child's attention to detail.
Do not build walls of “pancakes”, fold them up in bricks, people sculpt proportionally, paying attention to the peculiarities of the body structure of the representatives of different sexes, dress them in exquisite clothes. By the way, they can be sewn from fabric, it will inspire the prospector even more.
After the construction is finished, you should not lose interest in craftsmanship: make a short film, at least on the phone. It can be imagined as a work for a fashionable portfolio in a school or garden.

Freezing plasticine will be appreciated by older children. They won't be able to resist the ability to make keyrings, jewelry, pencil stands and other trifles.
Who says you can only make plasticine out of it? He's a great paint replacer. Paintings from it turn out to be alive, and the process of creation gives young artists a lot of pleasure.
Plasticine does not flow like a watercolor, does not leave uneven strokes like pencils, crayons and felt-tip pens, and you need to draw a finger, feeling the picture.
Draw an image on a sheet of cardboard and fill it with plasticine, teach the artist to mix a few shades, for example, the grass combines a few shades of green, yellow, orange, brown.
Plasticine is very grateful in this respect, as if it feels the desire of the artist and blends perfectly.
In addition, in a plasticine painting the image is transmitted not only through color, but also through the form. Concave, hollows, strips made with special tools, as if breathing life into a picture.
Slightly different plasticine painting on glass, here you should pay special attention to the mirror effect. That is, what is in the foreground is cured in the first place, and so layer by layer. The only thing left to do is to add a velvet background color – and the masterpiece will not be inferior in presentable oil painting.
How and where to store children's goods made of plasticine?
The property of plasticine melt makes it unreliable for long-term storage. For the organization of the exhibition, the coolest place that does not get direct sunlight, or glass that protects the work from dust is best.
depositphotos.com>Be it paintings or just crafts to give them a temporary stability can be covered with varnish, but only intended for ceramics, which can be bought in specialized shops. Food film will replace glass for plasticine paintings.
Schools and gardens often have exhibition stands.
Brighter and more colorful the plot works, if the children are not yet independent enough to play the plasticine action, then adults will have to build a background and place on it the works of young masters, as actors. By the way, the background may not necessarily be made of plasticine, it can be drawn or made of improvised and natural materials.
Very much want to ask adults once again not to dilute the fairytale world of childhood and give the child a box of plasticine, because unlike other toys it does not get bored, it is every day different, one bar can be transformed not one dozen times. And moms will ask you to save the brightest plasticine baby goods.
There won't be so many of them and not enough cardboard box under the bed. After a short time you and your adult son or daughter will look into this magic chest and remember the funny or sad moments. The child will definitely appreciate Mom's attention. Create and enjoy plasticine moulding with children.

Children's Plasticine Tape
Children's art is an extraordinary and magical process. The child dives in creativity with his head, he is absorbed in the process, forgets everything in the world – and about cartoons, and about candy, and even about his favorite hamster!
You noticed how hard the baby enthusiastically drives a brush on paper or tiny fingers trying to roll a ball of plasticine? Shh, don't scare me off, it's a miracle that's happening at this moment – your child is doing it! The kid experiments, creates his first masterpiece, and with it his personality, develops!
For children's art has no limits – it's not just paint and album, here it's leaves and stones, and colored paper with plasticine.
What do you think, all this can be combined? It's easy! Plasticine moulding for children is a world full of diversity and experimentation! Many different craftsmanship options can be created using natural materials in addition to plasticine, beads for decoration, cardboard for the base.
This can be said for a long time, but let's try it!
First acquaintance with the new material
First acquaintance with the new material
Children from an early age need to cultivate a love of creativity, because it develops imagination, imagination, as well as has a positive effect on the development of fine motor skills, perseverance, intelligence.
Lepka – an extremely interesting activity for children. In the process of creating plasticine garments, the child embodies his or her fantasies, creating new shapes and images.
A legitimate question arises as to how old should a child be introduced to moulding? Of course, a lot depends on the child, but often the first acquaintance takes place from a year or two.
You can try earlier, but most likely, the bright bars will cause a crumb only gastronomic interest – he just wants to try them to taste, which is categorically impossible to do. That's what needs to be explained to the baby first.
The cap for children 2 years old should have an introductory character and last from 5 to 10 minutes. Do not force your child to sculpt, otherwise there is no creative process and no question of any kind. If the kid doesn't have a positive mood for sculpting, then offer him this activity later.
Where do I start?
Please, with the color. Don't offer the whole palette to choose from, because the colors are very bright and there are so many of them that the baby will just get confused. Start with basic tones: red, blue, yellow, white and black. Let your “creator” make a choice by himself.
The solution is accepted and in tiny handles is painted bright bar. Choose your own colour and continue with your child to learn more about the new activity. To begin with, let the child just hold the plasticine in his hands, find out what it feels like and remember it.
Then you need to teach the easiest steps in dealing with new material for your baby:
- Pull off small pieces of a whole bar with your thumb and index finger.
- Rolling out of torn pieces of balls or sausages. Small balloons or sausages, let the baby try to make two fingers, and for bigger figures, you need to use both handles, rolling the plasticine between the palms.
- Slat these very balls by pressing them with your finger and turning them into cakes.
When the baby has mastered the basic actions, you can begin to sculpt the simplest figures, such as an apple. It is important that each piece of plasticine baby plucked off himself and tried to roll them into balls.
- For the beginning we choose the “apple” color: red, yellow, pink and katayem kolobok. Next, add a little more and make a finger recess. Is it done? “Forgot the leaf,” the baby's gonna fix you. To flatten a green sausage and stick it in the recess is a wonderful apple! Be sure to praise the child for the efforts .
- This is also a simple artwork – the caterpillar. Rolling balloons baby knows how to roll well, choose a few flowers, and let's do it. The kid's gonna love it if Mom rolls a few balloons. Connect all the resulting figures (if they stick together badly, you can connect them with a match or toothpick). We'll put a toothpick on your face, too. It turned out to be a very bright and positive caterpillar.
Balls learned to roll perfectly, you need to fix the “sausage”. Let's try to “prepare” a treat for the doll – a bagel.
- First roll out the thin sausage, and then connect its ends.
- From a few bagels will come out a great pyramid, but you need to make one thick sausage (the base of the pyramid), fix it on a piece of cardboard and put on it several multicolored bagels of different sizes. As you can see, the baby's all over the place!
We'll improve our skills
Kid is developing, his skills are improving, so roll balloons and sausages he will soon get bored.
For more productive and entertaining activities, you need to stock up on the tool:
- stacks of various shapes;
Sophisticated tools like these can turn molding into an interesting game, such as cooking or dining.
- Help your child to roll out the plasticine layer with the help of a rolling pin, and then he or she will do a great job on his or her own.
- Then we squeeze out a variety of shapes with the help of the shapes, but let the child try to take the shape out of the mold himself or herself, and each time he or she will come out better.
- Fantasize further – bake cookies, pizza, invite dolls to dinner and treat them to “homemade baked goods”!
To continue the fun game, you will learn how to cut plasticine. Give the child a plastic knife and ask him to cut the sausage, by the way, offer to calculate how many pieces have come out.
This is how, day in and day out, plasticine moulding for children aged 4-5 becomes a meaningful creative process. The kid's fantasizing, creating a new one. Kids love to create from plasticine different animals (domestic, wild, fairytale) and favorite toys (cars, dolls, bears).
The schemes of performance usually differ and depend on the abilities of the baby. It is possible to make this or that craftsman's work out of simple components, or it is possible to complicate it with additional elements.
Let's try to make a step-by-step favorite toy of most boys – the machine. Prepare:
- plasticine (body of any color, wheels black, glass light);
- stack to make it realistic;
- round wheel moulds.
- In a small rectangular bar of plasticine you have to smooth the corners and make two holes on the opposite sides: the hood in front and the trunk in the back
